Luggage rack extensions

Has anyone hade a problem with the holes on the extension brackets not lining up completly with the holes on the rack?

None here, but make sure you use a bolt that uses the entire hole not the skinny bolt they send. It will sag on you otherwise.

my brackets look like the originals but the rear bolt goes in fine but the slot hole on the bracket will only cover about half of the hole on the extension bracket

That's my problem Paul, I shouldn't have to ream the hole in the extension bracket. I'm using A18576BS brackets and A18575B luggage rack from Mike's A Fordable Parts

These are the cheap brackets . Loading your trunk for a good trip or loaded with good load these will sag. Mike is a really great guy, I buy lots of stuff from him . I had these on my car originally from 2000 till 2010. Get the good extensions from others example Bratton's part # 25170 coupe, and open cars. part # 25171 sedans only these extensions are for cars with rear spare on both part #'s have fun modelAtony tony white Lafayette,LA

I really don't plan on carrying a heavy load on the rack , I just thought it would doll the old girl up a bit and give it a little class. That's why I thought the cheap brackets would be good enough. I guess if I elongate the holes in the bracket it should work

I don't know what brackets sag so much as some I've seen, but IMHO nothing detracts more from the car than a sagging trunk.
