finally found the vacuum hose hiding behind a crusty dried up firewall grommet. pulled the correct length out and hooked up to the intake vac. port and wipers do work! ive had the '51 for about 6 months now and was scratching my head because there was a couple parts boxed up in trunk an old crusty wiper motor and master brake cyl among other stuff ,service manual and folder of build sheet and receipts' know why the vac line was not connected other than the control knob does turn very hard. Since everything wiper related is tuckted up under the dash so for an arthritic old ****** like me can't even see up there.I thought if the problem was knob cable related i could remove at the dash but not certain how to accomplish. Any suggestions please. Tom.

I am 84. I believe there is a rule against working under the dash if you are over 80. I follow that rule religiously. There is an amendment to that rule that says it is perfectly all right to spend your money on having commercial establishments do that.

I agree,i just have a hard time having a shop work on my classic cars for somthing that i possibly can accomplish.besides there arent any that want to even work on any vehicles older than the 80s especially if that car does not have a OBD port. Tom.
