1927was a good running car but on 12 volt ,but its now got a 6 volt battery in it .It has been in storage for some years but started occasionally ,Runs but is low on power stalls at low speed manoeuvring into garage we had the
AdV leaver down about a I".Smokes at low speed ,We Lean the mixture out and it seems to idle better am smoke diminishes , but fluctuates or gets low on power (Float ,Needle valve ) ? ,We have tried to put more advance into it ,coils all working on shorting them out but not sure about double sparking etc .Good compression ,The owner puts CRC on the timer ?? .We had the manifolds and carb off but now replaced with new gaskets Thanks for any advice .Ted

If the magneto is not working then you will notice it down on power (you can test this by removing the wire from the magneto at the key and connecting a 12-18 volt cordless drill battery to that point on the key switch and switch it from 6 to the 12-18 on the move, Should speed up a lot. This will tell you the coils might need some adjustment.)
CRC sounds hopeless on a timer but it doesn't sound like the problem.
You may want to blow air through the fuel line into the fuel tank while you're tinkering with it if its doing that surge thing at speed.
