low idle--high idle UPDATE

Thanks for the info. from everyone. I did lube the oil holes in the linkage shaft that bolts to the engine with oil from my squirt can. Yesterday I used WD-40 and also found that the rubber grommet around the accelerator rod was rubbing against the rod. When driving the car and she warms up the grommet gets hot and gets sticky inwhich makes the rod not go back to its proper position. I cut the grommet hole a little bigger and she works just fine. :)

Thanks for update!!

Good catch, Dennis.

WOW! I wish our gas was that price! Is that a really old picture? I just filled up at 4.29/gal this last weekend.

$3.89 here in CT. 87 Octane. Ethanol. Then add the Sta-Bil and MMO cost. But we're driving Model "A's!" Cheap at twice the price. Drive on.

As of today, Aug. 28th, the local Hess station is charging $3.90/ gal cash or credit.
That's about the lowest here in Smithtown, NY.

aw 3.98 this am, probably jumped a dime o/nite as isaac makes it closer to new orleans. Country is swimming in gas and we are exporting it, yet price (and taxes) keep going up.....................the supply and demand crap you learned in school is B/S. JMO
