Working under dash connecting wire to circuit breaker, turned key on, heard an arc, lost all power , what did I do???
 
Check to see if there is a fuse in the system. sounds like you blew a fuse.
 
Are you still pos ground , 6 volt ? I suggest removing the wire from circuit breaker and check the wires polarity. If pos then you need to trace that wire and see where it’s connected wrong . If the circuit breaker is still good it should reset when it cooled down. If its toast ( check with an ohm meter ( no other wires attached ) it should not be open .
