loss of power?

Hiya, I have just pulled my A out of storage and when I took him out for a spin it didn't go so well. After the engine had been running for about 15 minutes there was a loss of power- when I tried and go above 10 mph it just sort of dropped out I guess. Last summer I put a 5.5 to 1 head on it and it ran just dandy before I put it away last September. It seemed to improve a little- for a little while- if I pull the spark advance down.

The tank was mostly empty when I put it away and I have since run it down and refilled so I don't think that the gas is bad.

Any one have any ideas? I know I haven't given offered much info but I will try to answer any questions as best as I can

ClassicA , You might of picked up moisture in your gas tank by leaving it low on gas that leaves a lot of room for moisture laden air. Also you might have picked up some trash from the tank. Drain the settlement bowl and the carburator in a clean container and check for water/ trash . Good Luck, Bubby Sharp in KY

Possible a mouse crawled up the tail pipe and built a nest?

I would also remove the carburetor and shoot WD-40 through the jets and passageways and blow them out with shop air. Gas residue may have clogged jets and passageways.
