Lose brake system clevis pins

Can you drill out the levers and ends with everything still on the car, and with a hand-held drill, or do you have to remove everything and use the drill press?

You might want to think about getting all new brake rods and pins along with hangers. Than you will be done with that part of your brake rebuilding. Making do with old equipment isn’t normally the best way to go.

Enjoy.

So, if install a loop of steel safety wire thru the rod/lever hole beside the sloppy new pin to reduce the slop, I'm unsafe, right????

Merry Christmas

Pins and clevises are among the cheapest things to buy and ship. You probably have a couple of clevises that need replacing too. Cutting off tubing or shimming oversize holes is a waste of time, effort, and money.
