Nothing wrong, now; just getting it all back together - gear on distributor shaft had a bad tooth.

There are not too many mechanics left today who really know these old Ford's. I would contact Michael or Danny Driskell, who live in your "neck of the woods", and see who they would recommend. Their website: http://thirdgenauto.com/

If the distributor gear is bad then I'd want to check gear on the cam as well. None of this is rocket science and with a few hand tool and instructions from people here you can should be able to get this done. You can send the distributor to a few different people here to get the gear replaced and checked over or rebuilt.
