Looking for a 6V condenser

Al what you have to be careful of is that larger parts stores rebuilt distributors years ago. The parts cam in 55 gallon drums. The points are OK but old condencers dry up and don't last very long. I have a friend that go's all over the country and sometime overseas and buys truck loads of old parts. Some of these parts stores were closed down years ago, the owner died or is very old and the family wants to sell the proprty. This guy go's in and and buys the entire stock and bring it to his very large old chicken coupe. He sorts it out by shocks, water pumps, brake parts, on and on. He identifies these through the LARGE assortment of all the manufactures cataloges found in these old stores. He them contacts people who specialize in selling or rebuilding whatever they may be. I have access to the building and know where the light switches are located and in the summer spend to much time cargotainer diving. Lots of dealers come through on a fast high lighting tour and pick the parts visiable. I use flash lights and and a head mounted light and dig down to the bottom. A lot of these parts came from the Canadian Government when they sold tractor trailer loads of flathead parts all in cosmelene. A lot of times I have to open one of those messy things to see whats in it. There may be several dozens of the same boxes. Some with multible boxes in a larger box. Let's say for example the correct bolts to hold on the distributor. I probley found more than a hundred differant parts in multible packs plus loads of single parts. My wife knows when I was there by how I smell when I come home. G.M.

JC Put an 8 or 10-32 screw about 3/4" long through the hole in the coil that held the condenser from inside where the old condenser was. Put a lock washer and nut outside and tighten it good. Use the mounting band that comes with the IH-200 with the screw on the passenger side of the coil to hold the condenser in place and ground it. Put the wire lead terminal on new screw with another lock washer and nut. G.M.

I just might try this when I pick up some IH-200 condensers at Napa. I just put an original styled one in, but it's from Argentina.
