Look What Uncle Max Did For Me

I try to do most of my work on my '36 Ford myself. For those things I can't do, I have knowledgeable friends that can assist me, but sometimes it just takes a professional to do it right the first time. I sent Uncle Max a pathetic Stromberg 97 carburetor that had been "rebuilt" by several people in the past and needed a professional touch to finally get it right. It came back absolutely gorgeous, I don't know whether to display it (with a little light on it) or put it back on the car. I have never had this level of professionalism before.....I was stunned.

Thank you Uncle Max

What you say about the Uncle times 2! What a guy! I cannot wait to put my two UM 81's on and hear them on my stroked 59A. Hope to meet him personally next year when my high school buddies and I go to B'ville.

I sent these two 97's to Uncle Max for a rebuild. When they came back, I could have sworn they were the new ones, until I turned them upside down and could see the small pitting my originals had. Beautiful job and they ran great!

Cleaning those Carbs

Hi,
I'd love to know how he go those carbs so clean. What did they look like when they were sent? They look like new now!!

Guys,
Max is a great individual and freely shares his vast knowledge
with whom ever requests it. His parts drawers , as he is fond of saying
" floweth over" with the right goodies should you need them.
It's fair to say the new Strombergs from the UK owe their
happy existence to the trouble shooting prowess of Max Musgrove.
