look what I found while changing trans fluid

1937 3 speed top loader. Believe the "gold flake" in the old fluid is brass. It likes to pop out of 2nd gear so I think it might be time for a rebuild.

Thats a terrible mess ! A lot more going on than just brass, you may not find much usable parts inside. Let us see the tear down results !

Pretty much proof positive that "All that glitters isn't Gold". Better call Mac!

We used to look in the pans of auto trans and swirl it around to look for shiny metallic particles. I used to say it was like panning for gold. It may not have been gold but it was sure expensive metal.
