Hi gents...
I recently bought a Ford generator at a local swap meet. I bought it because it had a fan mount pulley and a big bore armature. Wow what a find...
Regardless when I looked at it more closely it was a "mish mash" of components. Nothing really fit, the end plate and mount were redrilled. The pulley (all that I really wanted) didn't go far enough on to the armature to use a generator nut and washer. The generator had a long armature, maybe 1" longer than every other one I had and I checked seven different ones. In addition it had brushes in the case not on the end plate and a larger diameter front bearing. What the heck is this? My racing buddy called it "the big beast". As always TY, g
