first I would like to say thanks to all of you for the knowledge I have gleened from this site. Thank you.

I have a 1946 Ford 2dr Sedan. If anyone could tell me where to mount the side mirrors. Bought the swan neck mirrors and am not sure where to mount to get the best rear view. Thanks.

went through the arkives. Found interesting post. Just wondering if any new thoughts. Picture of a coup 46 but to far away to get a good look.

The Ford accessory Swan Neck mirrors mount to the cowl at the belt line stainless trim. You have to remove the stainless trim on the cowl, you have to get up inside, to do so you have to remove the kick panels, to get to the nuts that hold the stainless trim on. The base of the mirror should have two studs that match up with the holes in the cowl. Have fun.:) As a side note, you won't be able to see the passenger side mirror while sitting behind the wheel...:( but it looks cool from the outside.
