I'm sure it's possible, but why would you want to? There are several very nice full mechanical advance distributors available, both point and electronic, to replace the later loadomatic, and some with additional vacuum advance that the crab doesn't have. Plus the fact the crab turns the opposite direction (CCW) as a later CW loadomatic.
JWL, on here, has written a book where he explores many facets of flathead performance options. One of the things he's explored is the various distributor options... Including putting a crab distributor on a loadamatic shaft. Too much to go into here, check it out... Buying the book may save you a lot of effort.
I looked at JWLs book and he used a crab with no advance ( removed all weights etc) and added a msd magnetic pickup etc , then used a MSD programable timing box to make all tests just alike ..
I think you could just weld up the loadamatic for no movement and use a good set of points and do the same thing with the programable timing box.....
might have to try that on our bonneville truck ???
If you just want the look, there are certain Mallory SBC distributors that take a "crab" cap. They are mostly for marine applications. One of these could be turned down and converted to use on a later flathead.
tubman knows.......I have a sbc marine dist with a crab cap converted to 8ba.
All mech adv PLUS the funky mechanical tach drive. If you are interested email
me at cas5845@yahoo.com Lots of head scratching when you pop the hood
with this one.

Hey Bubba, thanks, just looked over your site. I've promised before, and I'll say it again. Someday -(life has been throwing me truck loads of baloney)- I'll send you a package.
We must realize the Load-o distributor shaft rotates backwards for a Ford crab distributor. The best way for the average "shade-tree" is to use the front mount parts as mentioned by JSEERY.
I went to allot of trouble any "normal" person would avoid.
