light switch

I have been trying to get the light switch to work. Cleaned all the connection. Checked all the wires. Ran all wires direct and all lights work. When I get the switch plate back on the switch I can get the headlights to work playing with the switch on low beam. Horn works and brake light works fine. The switch just does not feel right. I was expecting a more distinct feel switching from one position to another. What is wrong with this thing?

Let's start here...is it an all original switch and parts or is it a repop?

Also, there were three types of switches...which one are you dealing with?

If you do not know...then get the MARC/MAFCA Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards.

My switch does not have a real hard click in when changing positions it is more of a soft feel.
