I had my steering assembly all apart and have it back together except for tghe spider and spring that is held in place with a small retainer. I have the tool to compress the spring and spider but cannot get the retainer on. Can one person do it or will I need to get wifey involved? That would be humiliating.

use the yard stick thru the steering wheel trick??Bob

I test fit the clip first, then install the spring. Some repro clips need to be filed.
