Light switch replacement issue

My 53 Customline headlight switch is going bad. The motor is a OH6 which has been converted to a 12V generator. the only switch I can find anywhere is a 6V switch:

Will this switch work or do I have to find a 12V switch?

The six volt switch will work. I have a 6 volt switch in my 54 which has been converted to 12V and have had NO problems.

Generally, 6 volt switches like ignition and lights will work ok because the amperage load on a 12 volt system is a lot less than a 6 volt system.
