Light switch position?

Hello all,
Doing a mechanical refurbish of my Father in Law's 1930 Murray Town Sedan, including a new wiring harness. After installng the new light switch, I find the "off" position is at 3:00. I thought "off" shoud be at 6:00 position? When at 3:00 the tabs at the switch are at 12:00 and 6:00. Thanks in advance.
 
You had the light switch in the wrong position when you installed the spider. It should have been in the 6:00 position at the start before you installed the spider. Unhook the spider then turn the light switch to the 6:00 position, then install your spider in the 12:00 and 6:00 position, then you should be ok. Afordman31
 
Your spider gear is off, try moving it over 1/4.
Put the switch in 'off", the spider gear should line up, if not, move it again until it does, did mine a few weeks ago, had the same problem til I figured it out.
Have your light switch housing together when you slip it on the end of the shaft, then your bail wire, seemed to work good for me.
