light switch - indexing?

Wondering if my light switch on my 29 ccpu could be indexed wrong. Light knob at the 6 position = 1 click left tail lights "ON" only / 1 click right head & tail lights "ON"

I have no other positions available (do not believe I have two beams or parking lights) and a farthest movement of the knob past the right position and I loose both tail lights and head lights.

Any help appreciated. Thank you to a great bunch of guys!

I believe All Ford headlights work like this on the "clock."
7 = Dim "parking" bulb or cowl lights.
6 = OFF.
5 = Low beams.
4 = High beams.

Tail light is on whenever any front lights are on.

It appears you have a early 1928 light switch housing, which only had low and high beam. Look for a later style which has one click left of center and 2 clicks right on center

Do you have the correct wiring loom? There should be 3 wires going into each headlight for the Twolight headlights, or 2 wires for the single bulb headlights.

I had that two position switch on my early (Feb. 6) '29 tudor with the fluted lenses. I think the "twolite" headlamp came in around mid. Feb. '29 so it depends on when your pickup was made. If it was built prior to mid Feb. 29 the two position switch would be correct and should have fluted lenses.
