license plate information

[gunmetal blue]

does anybody now if a 1929 AA truck have licence plate hanging from headlight bar.

[pat in Santa Cruz]

They all came with the license brackets on the headlight bar. Prior to May 29, the clips were ribbed and suspended the plates below the bar. After that the clips were not ribbed and hung the plate from above the bar. pic above shows ribbed clips, non ribbed below

California did issue 2 plates for comercial vehicles. The plates you want would be PC plates.

PC = pnuematic commercial to the best of my recollection for pnuematic tires. At least for CA.
