LHD Conversion?

LHD vehicles traditionally could not be registered here except for some diplomatic cars.
That changed about 20 - 30 years ago.
It was then thought that a LHD car is safer than some dodgy RHD conversion which had variable quality.
F150's are being professionally converted and sold here as new, I believe.

It would be my desire to keep it RHD however I have enough years in my rear view mirror now that I know enough to prepare for potential problems. I would most definitely install either a Syncro Model A trans or a 5 speed. Typically, I would want to go with a 5 speed but the car already has a Ryan OD in it so the 3 speed would work.

Leave them as they came, more fun that way. Do install turn signals so that other drivers can be aware of your intentions.

Turn signals is a good point. When I took delivery of one of my LHD cars, I converted it because I was going to be doing a lot of long distance touring in it. I figured I'd prefer to be able to see down the rod BEFORE I pulled out to overtake rather than rely on how loudly my passenger was screaming!

It should remain RHD so you can put a big dog in the left seat and it will look like the dog is driving. This should be obvious to any sane person.
Although, we’re Model A people, so perhaps sanity is relative around here.

I drive a left-hand drive coupe in Australia.

I have no problems driving it. The only difficulty is seeing past a slower car in front of me when I attempt to pass it on the open road. Not that that happens very often
