your voltage seems low to me as it should be closer to 6. try running a jumper from battery to lights to see how they look getting 6volts.Charlie, I did paint the inside of the buckets a bright white but still dim.
What should the voltage be for the tail lights and brake lights. Should the voltage be more for the brake light then the tail light. I'm getting 4.6 volts at brake and tail.
Wiring is not my strong suit as you can tell !!
think of it this way, voltage at batt is say 6.4 volts . the difference you measure at the lights is a loss somewhere in the electrical system. this can be found by checking voltage from one end to the other to find the voltage loss. could be as simple as a bad wiring connector. get your wiring diagram and look at that circut and follow it from on end to th other.Markco, are you saying I should be getting 6 volts at the rear tail light socket for both tail and brake ? Thanks for any help as you can tell I hate wiring.
