LeBaron Bonney

I have a 29 sport coupe that I purchased from the AACA museum in Hershey last year. This car was completely apart with some new parts in boxes.
The top kit that came with it was purchased in 1970. It still contains the receipt from the original purchaser.

I called LeBaron Bonney and told them what I had but could not read the instructions that came with it. The ink faded over all those years but the material was in perfect condition.

The NICE lady I spoke with there took my information and said she would send me out new instructions right away. I was very impressed with there willingness to help me out and would definitely do business with them again.

Now I just hope 41 year old top fits the car ok. :)

If the top material has been rolled, not folded, and feels strong when you try to pull it apart, you should be OK.If the top material has been folded, get rid of it.

Interesting, I to am restoring a 29 Sport Coupe that I dismantled in 75. I found the Lebaron Bonney upholstery kit still in the boxes my dad and I bought in 77. I too hope to be able to still use it. I would be interested if you have any issues.

Randy, The upholstery looks to be in perfect condition. It was rolled and must have been kept inside the house. I will post if I have issues. That may be a while though. Matt.
