Hi Ted,

With old vintage vehicles with old crudy tanks, old vintage remedies like flushing tanks with fuel still works well.

Even our young modern medical doctors with modern 21st century medicine still have faith in prescribing vintage flushing remedies like enemas.

Depends on the angle one is looking, but maybe not much has changed.

H,L ,You will make enemas with talk like that.

ICE , It didn't have that gauze, unknowns to me ,The club member Stuart who did most of the work rolled up some fine gauze and shoved it in the hole on the tap .

Ha ha Ted. YOU did most of the work while I stood and watched. It was just my shop and my water blaster. I am too inflexible to mess about under the dash these days. Anyway, between us, it is running beautifully now and the owner took his wife for her first drive in it (in the rain too!) today, after many weeks. She was delighted, experiencing all the waves and toots from Truck drivers, motorcyclists and small children for the first time.
Club Captain David Mossman did a great job on the engine. The counterbalance
weights he fitted made it a really smooth runner even though it is still really tight.
