Leakless waterpump

My banger rpu had a leakless pump on it ( bought the car running learning the banger ropes as I go) I greased the rear fitting wrong and blew the seal
Long story short I took it all apart and found the shaft was a bit messed up.

Want to rebuild it or just buy a hole new pump

Been looking on snyders they offer 2 Styles one with the rear pack nut/with Teflon seal that u still have to grease and the other with just the Teflon seal that is completly un greaseable both have upgraded sealed front bearings.

Any reconmendations? Are the housings American made? I've looked into the leaklesswaterpump.com ones and heard rusty or dirty water corrodes the ceramics after awhile.

For 120 the snyders seem to be a good option

Also I have a stock replacement model a walker radiator. Do u guys recommend trimming the impellor? To slow the flow down on the water pump?

My coupe had a "leakless" pump that lasted for about eight years before it started
leaking. There was no provision to re-pack----front or back so I had to replace it.
I chose to use another leakless model (Snyder's deluxe model). Some of my friends
like the idea of being able to re-pack due to their experience with leakless models.
I can't argue with any of them. I just feel that the leakless models will last longer,
but given enough time they will ALL leak. For about a third of the cost, Snyder's
sells the old fashioned kind that has to be greased every 500 miles and packed more
frequently. I might even consider doing this the next time around. After all, it's not
as if I don't have the time to do this in my retirement years----and it gives me just
one more reason to "tinker" with the coupe. Well, it WOULD give me a reason if I
hadn't sold the coupe at auction in January. JMHO :)

No need to trim the impellor, just install a thermostat. Just slip it into the bottom of the top hose and you are done. The engine will warm up quicker and the flow will be slowed some. A thermostat stopped the coolant from going out my overflow pipe. I'm using the original radiator and used to loose 2 to 3 quarts of coolant on a 50 miles trip. Now I haven't added a drop in three years.
