Leaf spring specs

I was told that a former member named Marco T had prepared a diagram of the various types of Model A springs, from Roadster to commercial truck, and that I should have a copy for reference.

If anyone knows about this and has a copy, I would appreciate it.

I think the letters are the suffix of the spring part numbers.

Great reference! Couple of questions:

Can someone explain the "dummy" leaf that's part of the "C" path? Including it with the other "C" leaves creates an 8 leaf spring, not a 7 leaf spring.....

And what is the diagram/path for the 10 leaf front spring?

That's really great info I did not know this list existed!!!

Marco was a frequent visitor to the other forum but he passed away recently.

Knowledge Stuff like this was just taken for granted when we were participating here some 20-25 years ago. Not just Marco, but there were others here also participating that really, really knew their stuff, -and all these ppl would make these types of visuals to post.

While I still tend to feel this forum has more knowledgeable folks who have gained their knowledge with actual 'hands-on' experience (-vs. reciting/posting advice based on what they have read) over the other forum, however in Marco's situation, he left here because of one or possibly two 'know it all' posters (they too no longer frequent this forum) who chose to publicly challenge and bash him because of him being a 'purist'. Unfortunately, that was a difficult time for this forum. Fortunately this forum survived albeit much of those old threads and pictures just did not transfer with Ryan's new software.

The dummy leaf is just a very short one (just long enough to fit under the clamps) that is placed on the bottom of the spring so that the same clamps used for the 8 leaf springs also work with the 7 leaf ones. It's essentially just a spacer.
