LB sport coupe top kit

I recieved my 31 sport coupe top yesterday from LB. I've started covering some of the parts and reading the instructions. Hints or precautions from anyone would be welcome. I think I can do this.
 
do you have Volume 5 of the "how to restore your model A "from the restorer?

Don offered a few good hints. There is far too much to try to describe without pics. The main point is making sure the finished "foundation" is level or installing the top deck is like painting over dents. The pics below are two different projects. You aren't too far from Larry Ryder. With the above info in mind it's worth looking over his top inside and out to form your plan.

And I don't even have a Sports Coupe.
 
Hi lots of great info. Lebarron Bonney has a pretty good video (you tube) covering the topinstallation for your model.Lots of details to watch for!
I was on the other day to see if I could handle covering my seats. Good luck!
 
Thank you all for your help and suggestions. LB has a video on roadster tops, but not on sport coupes. The instructions are pretty good and I saved the old top for reference. I also took lots of pictures as I removed the old top several months ago. I'll just take my time and be careful.
 
WOW! Thanks for those pix Marco. I'm also going to be doing a 29 Sport Coupe top this spring. My car was a basket case so I dont have any thing to compare it to for examples.

What material did you use for the cardboard that they call for on the top and corners?
