latest ebay fee increase

Might be a bit off topic but it bothers me that I have to pay $20 to bring my car to a show and Spectators get in for free, I feel it's backwards. We spend all the time, effort and money to restore our cars then have to pay to show them to others who see them for free.
Ridiculous policy....
As a minimum your antique car should be your admission ticket.

I would not attend..otherwise..
Too many yuppies taking control of everything.
Look at how many tv comericials are on cable or satellite tv you pay for.
They go too far!

roadster36, I agree with you that the vehicle shipping charges are most of the time overpriced and the vehicles are not properly taken care of. I recently had a vehicle shipped from New York to Alaska. cost was $4395, the vehicle was supposed to be in an enclosed trailer to the west coast and then a container to Alaska. I have pictures of it being loaded into an enclosed trailer in New York, but the car was filthy and had oil and grease on it from a vehicle carried above it. who knows how it was really shipped. I found that most, almost 95% of vehicle shipping goes through brokers, so you never really know who you get, so when shipping do your homework, and then do some more because it may not be enough.

$4395....OMG  !
How many 'regular' car hobby guy transactions have been cancelled out yearly by transport fees like this. Is it possible that this amount of $ is looked at as 'pocket change' and cost of doing business...these days? Maybe I'm the only one, eh

Big dough...People feel this is a big boys hobby so they go for the gold!
It would almost be worth it to drive it there yourself...??

You might be missing the fact that he is in Alaska & the car was in New York. The price was for enclosed transport from New York to the west coast & also put in a container & shipped by boat up to Alaska. ;)

If the transport costs are too high, rent a uhaul car hauler and see the country. You only have to haul it one way.

If you need enclosed transport for your Ford or other vehicle ...

Check to make sure your carrier is insured ...

Some haulers will damage your car & claim it was an " Act Of God " ...

Since 2008 on the HAMB - Alliance member every year

Since 2010 here on Ford Barn ....

Trusted Transporter of the MTFCA Museum ....
