lapping valves

pulled head one valve looks like it needs refreshing. with spring and keeper removed cant rotate valve with lapping tool feels like crud is stoping it from rotateing any help will be appreciate. thank you John

Remove the valve guides, clean the valve stem and while out hold the guides on the stem and make sure it turns freely before returning all to the block. Make sure you keep guides and respective valves together and remove ALL grinding compound after lapping.

What Al said...plus I put a little assembly lube on the valve stem when reassembling.

Then run Marvel Mystery oil in the gas 4oz/tank to keep the stems lubed....todays crap gas is very dry and hard on valve stems

If you get the valve out,roll it om the bench to see if you can see a bent stem,
