Maybe looking to a buy a 31 tudor sedan but the car has lacquer paint. Looks good now but how long will it last. The car is priced right. Need your opinions...Thanks...

I painted my '29 Tudor in 1971 with lacquer, it still looks good. I had to polish it out (by hand) recently to restore the look.

I guess I'm wondering why you are asking this question about lacquer? Would you be asking if it was any other type paint?

They came from the factory with lacquer paint and a lot have survived. I wouldn't be to concerned about it.

By the way I still shoot lacquer on my A's as the finish coat. I really prefer to the alternative.

Hey Old Red Ford. I was in the painting supply shop today buying some paint. Here's an update for you,1-Gallon of black lacquer is going for $250.00

I agree with everyone here. Geeeezzz, i'm easy to get along with.:D:o;)

Worry about the paint when something goes wrong with it. In the meantime have fun!:)

I have two original paint cars that are MARC of Original Excellence winners with their two coat original paint jobs. I guess laquer is OK.

I have Lacquer on my '34 Pick-up that I painted in 1965. It still looks good.

I just finished my '30 Tudor witrh lacquer. I bought extra when I got the paint. It really came out nice and I can repair the paint myself if necessary.

I would not think Lacquer would be a problem but in my mind, a plus.

My opinion,

Chris
