Hey Richard, I see you're from La Verne. Did my friend Jim Thomas with the blown Hemi '32 roadster "Barn Job" make it to the show this year. I've been looking for his car in the pics posted but havn't seen it yet. If you know him tell him Lee from Florida said hi.

I do not think I know this Jim... but if I run accross him I will tell him. I spend most of my time in West Covina at the shop...

Understand Richard. He lives up the hill on Wheeler. Also has a purple '39 coupe, his high school car and Jim is retired - and it has under the hood, what else, a blown hemi.

I dig that '36 roadster. Looks like the top might be functional too. Nice!

It was very cool. I talked to the builder a length …very talented and nice guy. It was built from a five window. The w shield frame is hand made (steel)
I didn’t even realize it wasn’t a real roadster tell he told me. Note the 18 inch wide fives on the back.

I heard people saying that "nobody was buying"

i was trying my hardest.....i filled my '47 coupe up, next year the panel needs to go. hands down BEST swapmeet of the year.

I think
They would be pre “milk truck” wheels….as in Kelsey Hays high clearance wheels……option on 36 to 39 pickups????

Iv seen them before, my friend Randy has a pair on his 34.

My first trip this year. Great weather, folks, cars and neat ol' stuff. Hopefully I'll be able to drive my '34 roadster out I-40 next year.
