I bought a KwikLift for $200 from a friend who got out of the hobby. I sold it a couple of years later because I never got around to putting it together and had a 4 post that I was going to put together and use, but haven't. I also have 3 vehicles I was going to put together but haven't. I was going to repair and repaint the right front fender on my streetrod, but haven't. I was going to put away the stuff that I didn't sell at Moultrie back in November, but I haven't. I was going to bathe the dog back in October, but haven't. I did take down the Christmas lights, but they haven't made it back to the attic yet. I've been meaning to do that. I solved one problem, though. I was going to have to buy new tires and do a brakejob on my wife's vehicle but I bought a new one for her instead. I won't need the lift I didn't put together for a while. now. She'll probably get to drive her new vehicle when I get around to putting the plate on it and calling the insurance company to get it covered, but so far, I haven't. I was going to list some other things I haven't done, but it's nap time and I pretty much always do that.
I'm sorry about your situation, and can readily identify, as I have experienced similar symptoms myself. I am perhaps older than you however, and have developed the wisdom required to deal with issues such as have plagued you.
I have found, for instance, that most things in life eventually take care of themselves, as did my Christmas lights issue. This past November, I simply went to the garage and instead of tripping over the Christmas lights, I pointed to them so my son could install them. That issue had not really bothered me much last year, as I knew that it would take care of itself as it had in past years. I expect that this year, my wisdom in the matter will prove itself once again, providing that I don't trip on them during the current year.
I resolved the dog bathing problem years ago, by opting for a cat instead. No lengthy explanation required on that. A great number of problems can be handled in that manner with good planning. I had planned to move for many years, so when I did eventually move, most possessions didn't follow, problem solved. My wife, I should note, has memory problems, so her wisdoms were made to order: Out of sight, out of mind.
The heavy work being the planning itself, I assign to those times in life when I rest up. Resting up, you see, is in itself another wisdom learned over the years, and can be done wherever I am at any given time, coincidentally most often where I lie after tripping over a previous plan. My Master Plan having yet to be resolved, I do plan on resting up more often in the future, and have considerable confidence in my fulfilling that goal successfully. Good luck to you, your dog, and your wisdom, should you acquire any.
