Can anyone identify this KR Wilson tool or tool piece? It has been kicking around for a while and I do not have a KRW book to try and look it up. Thank you.

Yes , it is a v8 engine lift tool to be used with the intake off. It fits in the galley in the middle . Do you want to sell it?
Thx

How it works: The thing is inserted endways into the valley of a V8 with intake manifold off and turned 90 degrees so that it is across the opening. The two lower legs with the slanted surface now can support the engine by the inner surface of valley, and the two legs with the holes each get a pin dropped through the hole into the exhaust crossover holes...that locks the thing against rotating out of position.
I wish I had one...I do have a sad aluminum repro.

It will fit into any '32-53 221-239-255 type V8 flathead. What's impressive about this tool is its brilliant simplicity...anybody could have designed a more complicated one!

Very interesting, thank you for the answers. So the next question is "whats it worth"?

Like anything, it really depends on finding someone that wants it. I have two that I would sell and may take to Hershey . Yours is missing the locating pins that drop down through the two smaller holes but they are easily made. There were repros if these made a number if years ago but they were very good with Krw markings and all
Most were green but I don't think all , the are a great lift hook but nit the only way of doing it.

Not sure what you want out of it but $50-150 are numbers I have seen on them . I think the last one I paid was $45.
Put it out on the v8 for sale and it should move .
