Can anyone tell me the purpose of the lower attachment on this KRW engine stand? It looks like it was made for the stand.

Yes, it is for the drip tray. Are you interested in selling it? Or would you be willing to loan it out with a nice size deposit so I could have it 3D scanned and make them? There are a lot of us who have engine stands and would like to add this attachment to our stands. So having reproduction ones made would be great.
 
I think it is bolted to the wrong side— it’s off center and with the offset of the bracket the platform would be centered if bolted to the other side
 
I have three of those stands and the old KRW catalog ads for them. I have never seen an attachment like this for one. It's got to be pretty rare. It has bolt holes in the corners; I wonder if there was more to it?
 
I would also be interested in a repro pan depending on the cost as well. Cast aluminum perhaps?
