I am out of my element on this one as I have a 32 tudor (hey at least its a 4 banger).

I was told this carb is a $50 Model T carb and....:D

Just kidding. I believe this is a 1911 Kingston 5 ball? but other photos I saw had a drain on the bowl and the top seemed slightly different. a couple years ago I think we were told it is about $600 as a core, this sound in the ball park?

Thanks!

Looking at your pictures makes me think that you have a Kingston 4100 five-ball carb from 1909. The 1911 Kingston had an angled air intake with a choke valve. There were many sizes of Kingston carbs back then, and many were used on stationary engines and autos other than Ford. If you can positively identify the year and model, then pricing would be open based on condition etc. I have two five-balls that are for larger stationary engines and their value was in the $200-$300 range a few years ago. Hopefully an "09 owner can identify this one better than my source. Good luck, very nice carb.

I am not sure about the numbering system used on the 5-ball carbs. Years ago I saw a Kingston catalog for 1910 I believe, and the numbers had some significance, but I don't have any idea now. The AACA research library may have some info. Quite a few early autos used Kingston carbs and their forum and members have helped me over the years.
I will check with some people tomorrow, and if I find anything new I will contact you.

More info, the mounting holes are 2 1/8" center to center. hole to intake is 1 1/8" in diameter.

jim,
Wasn't this carb discussed on the AACA forum a couple of years ago?
I did find out that when a Kingston carb was ordered, the model number related to the intake diameter and if it was threaded or flanged. Model numbers were not stamped on the carb I was told. The numbers were apparently serial numbers.

yes it was and then my Dad put it back on the shelf and forgot about it. I went up this week and asked him about it, he gave it to me to deal with. So it seems my options are to sell it as a core to one of the Carb guys, or toss it on Ebay and see where it goes. I know a cleaned up one went for $899 a few months ago.

I opened it up this morning and everything is there. well the pieces for the float were there, and one part still screwed on. It wasn't all crudded up like I expected it to be.

The bottom nut isn't brass, do they sell those?
