King Seeley Handy "Servo" Governor help

I recently got a King Seeley Handy "Servo" Governor. Does anyone know about these for flathead Ford applications?

It looks like it is pre-war and came with a dual throat assembly. These clues lead me to think that it fit's a flathead engine. The mounting bracket looks damaged but otherwise it looks to be in good shape. It was being thrown out and I just couldn't let that happen. I have no plans of putting a governor on my engine, but it might clean up and make a nice display. I'd like to know more about it. The number on the ID tag is 21615-147.

Looks like something similar is used on Jeeps as when I do an internet search, that's all that comes up. None of those is exactly like the images I've attached. Can someone add something to this story??

.

Wow! Maybe Lawson could put that thing on his 60 Horsepower flathead
to sort of "tame it down" a bit.

I had a flathead industrial stationary engine that had one like that. It raises the rpm as the load increases, like on a portable welder or generator.

I have a governor for a single barrel DL carb! I will try to post a picture tomorrow. It is just a display item now obviously, maybe for a truck.

Flathead Fever - thanks for the info. It seems to have an adjusting nut on the end opposite of the pulley, so maybe that's the speed control adjustment? Not quite sure how it works but it looks like an arm from the unit adjusts the butterfly valves in the carb base so maybe that's how it controls the speed?
Duce roadster - It would be great to see pictures of your unit. I too plan a static display as a way of preserving old technology.

Here you go, just what you need to keep that teenage son from hot rodding your 32 with a DL carb! Notice the tag has a V8 logo on it.

That's cool. My unit may have been part of a stationary engine or air compressor perhaps. Thanks for the pictures.

I have one on a 59 A-B stationary engine .......but I have no pics that I can put up at the moment........Mark

Mark,
Thanks for letting me know. If you do get a picture, I'd love to see how the governor is configured. The arm and rod on the governor limits where mine was used as it only extends so far and it links into the short arm on the carburetor riser butterfly shaft. It's not clear in the pictures I posted.
