I live in Denmark where the relative humidity in the winter is approx. 90%. If I have an unheated garage and circulate air by means of fans, I will also get 90% rel humidty in the garage. As a rule of thumb the rel humidity should stay below 60% in order to prevent rust on steel. For every % increase the chance of rust increases.
I suggest spraying it with a thin oil. I would love to use a dehumidifier, but here in Denmark where I live, 1 kWh costs the equivalent of 45 US cents = 0,45 dollar.
