I have been offered a #744 KRW engine stand. It has no accessories with it. It is bare bones. It has modern engine supports on it. Is it worth messing with ? Are there flathead adapters out there. What would this be worth ?

Hi Mike,
I sold one as you described on EBay about two years ago for $600 ( It had a roller base though) and I sold one last year with the post and flathead adapter and no base for $350.
It seems ridiculously high to me, but that is what they went for.

That same guy in FL agreed to sell it to me for $200. I arranged for trucking and when he saw what I was paying for shipping he raised the price to $400. The day I called him to ask for money transfer instructions he decided that it was now worth $700 because he saw one on eBay go for that much. I backed out of the deal and ate the shipping deposit. He just couldn't understand that the one on eBay had the tool tray, two engine mounts AND was restored to like new condition!

I'd stay away from this guy unless you are going to pick it up in person with cash. And IF you can find a motor mount expect to pay another $100-150.

Thanks for the reply. He first advertised it for $700.00. Then he came down to $500.00. I don't want it for that. I might have given him the $200.00, but he smells big profit. It is only 25 miles from my house, so shipping is no problem for me.
