K-D 378 valve compressor tool

The K-D 378 tool is designed for small engine valve spring compression. Has anyone successfully used this tool to compress flathead V8 valve springs when removing or installing valves? I see the tool advertised for use on Ford flathead and other brand engines but I'm curious how well it works in this application. Appreciate comments on his application.

Will not work. The body of the tool would have to fit into the recess below the intake manifold mount surface of a V8. Might work well on flat head 6.

Tried that tool a very long time ago in the last century. First not enough torque to compress a spring and as Karl wrote above the size limits which spring it can even be located on.

I like the KR Wison tool. I have a couple of them. I don't remember if there is a separate one for the V8-60 or not since my stroke so do your own research. I'd go out to the garage, but I've had stroke and I don't I just don't feel like it, sorry about that. Every once in a while, one comes up for sale on eBay. It was made just for doing flathead Ford valves. Here's a photo of one that was for sale on Worthpoint. It's one of favorite tools. It's fast and idiot proof, so it's perfect for me.
