Just wondering?

First of all let me start off with that I do love Bert,s antique auto! But I made a small part order it’s been over two weeks, i have never had to wait so long for a small parts order . I love Steve and all of his help over the years. I am just wondering what to expect! Has anyone else noticed delays in getting there orders .please no that I am not trying to upset anyone, just wondering what happening?

I have also had long delays getting stuff from Bert’s. I love Steve and appreciate all the free advice but apparently they are overwhelmed with orders. On more than one occasion they haven’t shipped for over a week. Members of our local (west coast) club favored Bert’s because due to lee distance orders arrive faster from Bert’s but that’s out the window now. Steve told me recently that the only way they can get orders shipped is to take the phone off the hook.

I did he said that he has about 400 orders on his desk to get out and hopefully get to mine soon?
I guess busy is a good thing!!
I was one of those guys that called in my order, but I got the feeling that it would be better for Steve if I would have used the online ordering system!

I'm pretty sure that sales of his products are cyclical. i.e., this time of year there are probably lots of folks ordering parts for their winter projects. In May of this year I called in an order on Thursday (late in the day). On Tuesday morning the parts were delivered to the Bartlesville. Oklahoma, area.

why I just use snyders at this point. theyve always been the quickest, most efficient and thorough of all the vendors Ive used over the yrs.
With all due respect to Snyder's, who have one of the best reputations in the Model A parts world, they didn't have everything I needed either, thus Bert's who did have everything in stock. I've ordered from Bert's before and always been happy. The mechanic who was putting my "A" back together went to Snyder's first as they are his favorite supplier. Note: I was 350 miles from home when the fiber timing gear shredded. If I were at home in my own shop I might or might not have done things differently.
