Judging Standards

Does anyone ever see the irony in the fact that utilitarian vehicles built on an assembly line are now preened prima donna's that have every nut and bolt inspected for authenticity? I was sad to see my wife's Focus traded in. It's destined to be a collector's item. I can just imagine Focus clubs 80 years hence arguing about the correctness of a strip of cheap plastic interior molding. :D
