Johnson carburator

I saw this in the Little Deerborn auction. I was aware of Holly and Stromberg carbs for the flathead. I have never known about this one, must be pure aftermarket. Can anyone shed light on why it was sold? Something new to learn about these engines all the time.

Yes. Aftermarket. Made by Marvel-Schebler. They usually have lots of different bolt holes in the base for many applications, or for facing them either way.
