Today, John Glenn and I celebrate our collective---but seperate historic moments in time. His, of course, was the famous space orbit. My moment was that of a 20 year old kid bringing home his first Model A----a moment to remember-----Indeed! I dragged that baby home from Frankfort, KY to Lompoc, CA. My tow vehicle was a new 1962 VW Beetle. Fast forward 50 years, I still have a passion for the Model A and VW's. I'm sure John Glenn has a passion for flying to this day. The Model A was a 1930 tudor that was without a roof! I had one built with all new wood braces and top material for a whopping 135.00 bucks----parts and labor!

There was a John Glenn that used to post on Ahooga. I have often wondered if he is the astronaut, but never asked.
