Jay Leno likes my Open Engine concept!

[Engine Whisperer]

A few years ago I created a cutaway Model A engine that powers itself on one cylinder, with the rest of the engine exposed to show how a running engine works. I called it my "Open Engine". I posted a video on YouTube, and Julius from California discovered it and made his own open engine. We became good friends. Today Julius forwarded me some photos of him and his open engine with Jay Leno at a car show in Irvine, CA. He didn't know Jay Leno would be there, but was pleasantly surprised. Jay saw Julius' open engine running, and posed for a couple photos with him. Julius said that Jay really liked the open engine, and commented on what a great teaching tool it was. It was my dream to have Jay Leno see my open engine, but to see Julius with Jay made my day!

Since then he has acquired the warehouse next door and has overfilled it.

Here is the video of Julius' engine...he built his based on my concept, but with his own spin. It's more 'museum quality' than mine. Julius said when Jay Leno approached him, Julius said, "it's not for sale!"
