Jailbar truck front screen

I need to change one side of the glass in my truck
The passenger side rubber looks much newer than drivers side
Will I be able to change just one side, is the rubber a standard size part or am I going to end up changing the whole rubber?

Ian, they normally come in a pair, left and right. So I'd change um both. Universal type rubbers off the roll don't work without a lot of faffing around due to the middle division. I know cus I did this when I couldn't afford the proper rubber, but needed the glass in, works but I won't recommend it. Buy the proper parts, do both sides, proper job.

I wouldn't be surprised if there all from the same original source. So any of the usual suspects.
Carpenter may be different/better though? I don't know.
Try a search in goggle using Ford Barn in the search words, for 40-41 pickup windshield gasket, they be the same, and a lot more info out there. I find searching Ford Barn on Google works much nicer than using the search function on the forum. I do this when sniffing out stuff on the HAMB.

If you have a glass shop maybe see if they can cut the one piece using the old one to copy from. It would save on shipping charges on the glass. It's just flat glass. Orders the rubber seals and go at it.

No problem with the glass. I replaced the rear screen using some universal trim and just made a thin ply template. The front one looks like I need the proper thing tho!

Got rid of a few rattles, just the screen and wipers to fix, then it will be winter and time to put it away!! Ho hum
