Jack Rabbit is a brand or can be a generic means of replacing some of the metal plates with modern turbo plates made of heavy fiber material, increases the easy separation of the discs for good neutral, and good clutch action, esp if you are reusing old worn metal discs. You just replace the small discs in the pack. leaving the original large metal discs sandwiched between each 'jack rabbit' or turbo 350 disc.

Mike, as tmodelman posted, you use some modern clutch plates. These give you a much better neutral for start in cold weather. It is also a good idea to replace the clutch spring as they do get weak. Proper adjustment is important with these clutch discs replacement. If you let them slip while driving for just a little while, they will wipe out the lining on the disk and that means replacement again. So listen to the engine and if it speeds up and the car does not, the clutch is slipping.
I have them in more than one car and if I take a transmission out for any reason, the new clutch discs go in.l

Do not use the jack rabbit clutch sold by some of the vendors. Spend a little more and get the Turbo 400 clutch sold by Lang's. the jack rabbit has a two piece hub that is impossible to remove as it will break and need to be cut off. I know this from experience. The Turbo 400 has a quality hub that has the wholes for ease of removal. I am not associated with Lang's, just my experience.
