The 31 Tudor sedan that I bought in Feb. after sitting on blocks since 1971 with a tight engine was fired up yesterday. It started on the second crank, smoked like hell but settled down and ran great until I ran out of gas. I only had a little temp gas can hooked up, now I'm going to put gas in the tank and try to go for a ride.:):):):):D:D:D:D

Congrats, now it's time to enjoy her.....my goal this summer is to drive Sister every day it's not raining.

It is even fun in the rain and I have been. Caught in the rain a couple times. It won't melt so enjoy it. Wayne
P.s. Just think the trailer queens can go out every day, not a lot of fun but they can go out.

Great news! Don't forget the filters for the tank and to clean it out. Don't want any rust spoiling your fun now do we? PICS?

Mike

Hope you got that moment on video, there is never a second first time.
Barner's are a visual sort, so post some pics please.

Easy way for pics:
Click the "blue post reply" lower left bottom of page, when text box opens, in the top middle of the bar you will see a "paperclip" click that, a window will open "manage attachments" click "choose file" then pick your picture, after you picked up to seven pics click the top "upload" on the right hand side of the text box, wait for it to upload.
You must type something, anything into the text box message, scroll down to see "preview post" at bottom of your text box, you should see your message as it will appear when you post, if you like it click "submit reply" to post.
Easy-cheesy

Congrats!! First start up is one of my favorite A experiences. Roadster came to us as a runner, but the Tudor before (a local car guy had for 30 + years), was not. Long storage - I took a chance given the zero rust and older, but full frame up restoration. Total time invested maybe 45 minutes, with guidance from a neighbor who actually knew something about these cars - we removed and cleaned the carb after I checked for spark (yep), compression (yep) and gas (nope) and were cruising around my neighborhood for the first time in less than an hour - "no charge" for the Model A driving lesson, either! :-)
