I know that this is my own fault but I want to put a heads up out there as to another scammer answering wanted adds. I have had many transactions with Honest people both on the ford barn and on the Hamb.Recently I put up a wanted add for a 1936 ford horn/headlight button with the rod. I heard from and purchased a very nice one from a great guy in Minnesota(thank you Gary) but before that I was contacted by someone in Indianapolis. They sent pictures and we corresponded ,a price was agreed on and they requested a postal money order(first red flag for me)I send the money order by priority mail with tracking(more money) and had to contact them after the tracking showed it was delivered. This started in August and after being told twice it was shipped I have not received a tracking number or a answer about how it was shipped. Please DO NOT BUY anything from crazyminded7176@gmail.com.This is the second time I ve burned ,the first was from a business Named Fat Fenders Customs after many conversations I had sent them around 1,000.00 in NOS 40 Mercury parts ( a amount that was agreed upon )It's four years later and still nothing but excuses on why I don t have the fender skirts I was promised. Not even excuses any more, just crickets. I know it s my fault for trusting people but don t want anyone else t0 experience the frustration of dealing with these people.

I'm not 100% certain but believe because a Postal Money Order was issued, the PO will go after this guy.
You may want to ask your postmaster.

Hope Kube is right about the USPS getting involved but don't hold your breath. Bottom line is only PayPal Goods and Services NOT Friends and Family for parts purchases.

Most of us that frequent the barn more than likely want to preserve our reputations. Infrequent visitors maybe not so much. I always check out folks before I sell or buy. Just looking at previous posts can give some insight into possible dealings. Maybe I've just been fortunate but knock on wood, I've not yet been taken advantage of. Most folks, myself included, prefer up front payment when selling but there is always a chance of getting ripped off by less than honest people. Good old swap meets are still the best way to sell unless you're willing to deliver the goods. Face to face business is always the safest way to go.

I had 3 different scammers respond to my classifieds ads on the V8 Ford Club Website.Typical "I will send you a cashiers check and when received my agent will pick it up" BS
