Is this the correct clutch & pressure plate ?

I have a rebuilt 8ba motor from Dennis FRings and an empty flywheel
that I believe is correct, but he did not supply one with the motor.

Would this be the correct clutch & pressure plate I need for the setup?

It does appear that it's correct from the pictures, and the pressure plate has the exposed counter weights.

Thanks for any help. Steve

I am not one to give advice on this but check things out good. I bought a 50 model with the Flathead myself. The clutch was acting up with shudder when taking off and downshifting. The flywheel was resurfaced and a three finger pressure plate and new throwout bearing put in. I still have the same thing. Some said I should have went with a diaphragm style pressure plate which I wish I would have. Good luck with whichever way you go.

Flywheels for an 8ba have the PP bolt holes drilled all the way thru, while those for an earlier motor are blind holes. They do not interchange. Be sure to use the correct bolts for PP and crankshaft

I've heard that before and will check the through holes in the morning. I was wondering
if that pressure plate and clutch assembly were correct, or would they even work in my
application? Still asking....

Fort Wayne is where I send all my customers. Talk to LOU, he's the guy I tell my customers to talk to. I've sent him 100's of customers.

Steve,
Your 8BA is ‘49-‘53…..the clutch #’s you posted are for the earlier flywheel…..’35-‘41…That’s what cas3 and Brian are talking about above. First, you have to figure out what flywheel you have then call Ft Wayne Clutch. It’s always a good idea to have the flywheel and starter ring gear checked and surfaced before bolting a new clutch on………Mark

Again, be careful with Fort Wayne Clutch. The last time I talked to them, they were selling only new imported pieces. There are several threads about this on the Forum with suggested alternative sources.

I am 100% in agreement with you. Ft. Wayne is NOT what they once were. Not even close.
Personally, I would not use their service for anything.
