I found this number stamped on my hood hinge point bracket. Is it of any meaning?

That should be reassuring...it's the part number, and tells you that your hood hinge bracket is indeed a hood hinge bracket!

Production likely outsourced to Morgan Manufacturing Co. in Kalamazoo, MI. Morgan was an iron foundry that dates back to the late 1800's and was active till about WW2. Their production was mostly small un-cored items, some items in-house finished and Nickel plated.
